Some questions (bohemia vers HRE, red arrows in unit icons)

Hello I am playing Chivalry mod (0.96) and I have a some questions:

1) What means the little red arrows (heading at an angle down), which are in the units icon, in lower menu bar? They appear sometimes in icon of different units….Or little shield at the same place?
2) And about bribing, I try this often, but I have not a single one success? Is problem in my inexperienced diplomat? How can I train him best? I contact every civs (trade treaty, sell some maps) but my diplomat haven’t any progress. (On the other hand assassin after almost every kill gets some points)…Or I am lack of gold (I have few thousandt...) ??
3)Can I raise assasins chance to kill someone by visiting him before with spie?
4) And finally do You have any tips against holly roman empire? I played as Bohemia and I haven’t problem (I defeated Poland, some neutrals town..) until I am ally with HRE, but they, soon or later, betrayed me and then come very bad times for bohemia people

I play H/VH difficulty and I Have RTW Gold editions..

Can you provide a screenshot of this issue, i don't have clue what's that about.
Can anybody else confirm this?

All other points are just results of the designed gameplay ... and of course chances are better, that you'll have more diplo agent success on M campaign.

This calms me, and i thought already you found a somehow new graphic bug

Didn't you play formerly RTW?

There you have the same kind of swords/shields at the unit cards ... interesting, i've never thought somebody would jump into Chivalry TW without knowing RTW. Cool!

Yes I played RTW, but only few hours, then I download your mod, and its catch me

I like early medival ages rather then ancient times...
And I think than i have weak comp to MII:TW...

And not least reason for me, is playable czech factions

I looking for this issue in manual but I buy same kind of cheap "gold edition" with very poor manual (just instalation problems and some jaw)...

Oh silly those are the weapons and armor upgrades. You usually get them by building blacksmiths and higher buildings and then training troops there. The arrow/sword is the weapon upgrade, the shield is the armor upgrade. there are 3 levels of upgrade bronze, silver, and gold.

Check the unit stats and compare them to other like units with out the icons and youll see what i mean.

Yup as BNS said that represents that the armour has been upgraded.
If it's a sword then it means that the unit has better weapons.

It gives the unit bonuses to attack and defence respectively

Nopes.

Bohemia is a very tough nut to crack, yes.
Hmmm. Try to attack their lightly defended settlements. If you can't holdt it destroy all the buildings there to get some money and then escape as quickly as possible.

Bribing needs a hell of money!

Several thousands are only enough to bribe an army of several units (less than half), tens of or hundreds of thousands would be needed if you want to get a city or a family memeber.

It's not a good choice until you become very very rich and need to do something very urgent, or you simply want to throw money away.

If you fail the first diplomatic action, let the diplomat wait until next turn before he does anything eles, because the faction would *hate* him and simply reject all further offers until next turn. And you should always propose trade right before all other things (trade right is always accepted).
