Dimmidi, Gorda & Game Crash
Ave citizens. I'm playing as Rome and when I attempt to resolve a battle against the Sabaean's (Saba) on the battle map I get a crash to desktop with the following error message:
Generic Error Failed to Find texture 'xgm/data/models/unit/textures/EPG.tga'
Ideas on what's causing this and how to fix? I'm running v1.5 and I've not done anything to the files after installing XGM. It only happens when I try to fight it out on the battle map. When I auto-resolve it works fine.
Next, has anyone ever held and improved Dimmidi? I've taken and been kicked out (Rebellion) at least 7 times. Can't seem to get Public Order above 0 (Zero), even with a full stack and leader in the city. Thoughts?
Finally, is there actually a way into Gorda (Rebel capital in Arabia)? I ringed the city with units looking for a way in, to no avail. Thanx.
Cheers,
Mark

Re: Dimmidi, Gorda & Game Crash
The rebel Capital in Arabia was designed to be unconquerable, representing the fact that there was no reason to go that deep into the inhospitable desert.
As for Dimmidi, try destroying everything and sacking the population, that may make it slow, but should give you a fresh start.
As for your technical error, I am sure that DimeBagHo will find a solution, but for the future, you may find more help in this section.
Hope everything works out for you.

Try placing multiple generals in the region, 6 family memebers = +30% Western population conversion factor. Having a stack of characters like this is useful for converting population.

Marcus Augustus: If you could e-mail a saved game from just before the battle that would be great. If not, a few more details would be useful. What kind of battle was it (siege, or normal)? What units did the Sabaean army have?
Gorda is uncapable. Dimidi should be uncapable - looks like a missed a spot on the wall around it.

Re: Dimmidi, Gorda & Game Crash
Thanx guys. DimeBag- There's a spot on the southern rim of that escarpment that allows entrance to Dimmidi.
I finally gave up on Dimmidi. Kept getting kicked out. Sacked the place and left. Soon reverted to Rebel Roman control. Of course, wouldn't you know it, 3 turns later there was a "Loyalist Rebellion" and it turned back over to Roman (My) control! So, turned the units around and marched back. Got everyone back in place and next turn got the boot again. Forget it!
I'll send a save game for you to tinker with tonight DB, thanx.
Cheers,
Mark
