    Default Pagan Religion

    Hi

    First of all i like this mod very much great job that. Now i started a campaign with lithuania and i noticed that there tempels don't have a religion confersion bonus.

    Is this intended? Because it makes holding your lands pagan very hard. I had a Polish cardinal wandering around and he conferted my population by 40% in a few turns :hmmm:

    I fixed the problem myself in the files but i wondered if this was intended

    In the game well Pagans are generally easier to convert since they werent intended to be a major force in the game, and generally their since pagans where generally still a major part of the population even if they were put in the wrong areas by CA, anyhow where you playing kingdoms, or a site hosted mod?

    I've been wondering the same thing. This campaign is a little extra challanging, being virtually the only pagans around, yet having no buildings with conversion bonuses. I've just been recruiting all the pagan preists I'm able to (1 per territory?), but it's a real struggle spreading paganism and maintaing pagan dominance in your territories.

    How exactly did you adjust the files?

    Wait this is in stainless steel thought it was just a general question but yeah it was intended lol now I feel a bit silly

    This is in SS . Anyway I just searched the mod files. There is one with building attributes. I can't look op the exact name because I am at work .

    But adding the Relegion Confersion bonus to the temple buildings makes maintaining religion the same as the rest of the religions but still difficult since you will have to confert every singel province you take from the enemy.

    i have solved this by havong the theologians guild headquartes in one of pagan cities. Each of my massive pagan armies is followed by about 8 skill 3-5 piety priests. with about 25% conversion each turn, Problem solved.

    This is the file i edited. export_descr_buildings it is loceted in ...\mods\stainless steel\data

    This is a list of all buildings and there attributes. Now simplie copy the religion bonus form the normal church to the same area at the temple sections and viola pagans for everybody

    What does it take to get the Theologians Guild HQ? I've never been offered one. However, I do employ the invasion-of-preists tactic, only I like to send them in ahead of my army. This way, by the time the province is mine, the population is already mostly converted. If the ai was smarter, it would easily predict my invasion plans by where I'm sending preists.

    The best way to get the headquarters of any guild is to train all of the guilds agents (in this case priests) from one city and build the best religious buildings possible. Eventually you've gathered up enough guild points for the normal guild to become the master's guild and after that the headquarters. Other things you can do to attract the theologian's guild is to get a cardinal elected, get a pope elected and denouncing heretics and witches.

    There are other files that affect Paganism. The settlement file affects religion, for order. The desc_campaign_db file contains religious conversion rates. In the settlement section of that file, you have 2 multipliers, one for religion and one for paganism. These can be changed if you need too.

    I have looked in the file but i can't find a separte pagan entry. There are different Heresy and heretic entries but heresy is something different from pagan.
