Hi Rio. I've been willing to play Rio IBFD VI but I haven't been able to do it because I'd like to install the expansion and the expansion pack but, since I'm a windows vista user, installing them is very complicated. That's why I was wondering if you could add an 'automatic installer' for them, so I could play your mod. I hope your answer will be positive

Vista doesn't allow the patch to be opened by winrar?..or then copied over the mod itself? :hmmm:
I'm coming out with Rio VII. Its done but neds to be put in the mod switch format. Is the mod switch format impossible for Vista users? I have to change mod switch files over to rar..an issue with my XP
I can do a choice alternative Dl if needed

Hi Rio. You can open the files. The problem is the second part, I mean that vista won't let you re-write the existing files. I'll give the example of IBFD 7 and 7.03 (even 7.04), all of them have an 'automatic installer' as you know, So the installation process is carried out automatically because they have an *.exe extension. if there is no an *.exe, then you have to do it manually and that's when you are not allowed to re-write the existing files. Apparently, vista won't give you enough access to do it.

No, mod switch is not a problem at all.

My suggestion is to add an *.exe extension to all the versions of the mod and its patches. That should fix this issue. (Gosh, I hate Vista!)

Have you tried installing it as administrator, You need to right click and try "running as Adminstrator", this might help. I have vista on my new computer and it is the buggiest peace of ****** that microsoft has ever made. If I didn't have to give up one of my kidnies for this computer I'd have already thrown it in the compactor.
