Coming December 25th I will be releasing the first part of a model and texture pack that will replace the Knightly Orders from The Crusades with all new models and textures. This package is primarily meant for The Crusades, however it is also designed as a modding assets package for use with any RTW mod (and I suppose MTW2 with some extra work).

These models and textures are original creations of Caius Britannicus and hence fall under the following moral and copy rights.

- For use as a complete package only. Each model and texture must appear as is. Pieces from one texture or model cannot be "chopped-out" and reused by itself or as part of another artists work.

- For use with any mod or for personal use, however if used with a mod that will later be released to the public, proper credits must be given.

Release 1.0 - Foot Knights of the Crusades

In this package you will find 3 models and 3 texture sets (gloss files included) for the Hospitaller, Templar and Teutonic Dismounted Knights.

Installation Instructions:

If you are installing this into a copy of The Crusades please follow the easy steps.

1) Download the package

2) Extract the files to a safe folder (for example, a folder on the desktop)

3) Copy and paste the models_unit folder in the package to the folder "...BI/data/crusades" located in your RTW folder on your hardrive.

4) Allow the files to overwrite all the original files

5) Enjoy the new upgraded order knights.

If you are using this package for use with other mods you are left to your own devices to properly install them.

Some very cool models! I would like the oportunity to say thank you for the Crusades mod. The crusades is my favorite mod. I even prefer to play it rather than Medieval 2. Pls post some ingame pics as well.

The ui cards are part of this new pack too. The only issue is that if you use Caius`s mod you have to take into account that the old teutonic and templar foot knights had one extra .tga files for the sprites. I`m not sure if the old ones will be used and create some sort of conflict, but, just to be safe, you could delete/move these two files:
