CTD

On early era campaign when you click on the HRE it CTDs, and also when i click on late era it CTDs also.

Is this because of a dodgy install, or something else.

It works for me. Anyway, there's a sticky thread about filing bugs, post your problem and logs there.

There is a well documented issue regarding clicking on several different faction icons on the faction select screen which always causes CTD's.By clicking i mean browsing before making a choice.
Also,you can get CTD"s by fighting a custom battle and then trying to start a campaign and vice versa,early and late era.

I have had all of the above but if i start the game and do one or the other everything is fine.

Not sure from your description if this is exactly your problem but i thought i'd post it anyway just incase.

I sometimes get a feeling that there's something wrong with faction icons and it makes the game go crazy...

Yeah you where right thats my problem, but there is one other thing-when i try get onto late era it CTDs no mater what i do.

Do you go there straight after running SS? Try not clicking too much in the menus before starting a campaign, this is what sets those bugs off.

Yeah Delra's spot on.

I can only select late era if i go straight to it on booting the game up.Having a look around early era or fighting a custom battle beforehand will cause you to Ctd.

Other than that i cant help you as i dont really play late era games,i only went in there to snoop around.

The bug is well known since 5.0 beta. The worst part of it is that nobody has an idea how to fix it.

Aye,true that.

Luckily,following those simple guidelines i've never had any Ctd's with the game other than that.Testament to the quality of this mod.

yeah i am enjoying the mod, well the early era campaign I still cant get the late era campaign to work.

But on the normal one im doing quite well, im England and at the minute have all of England, Wales, Dublin, Caen and then the holy lands after I went on a crusade.

You need to highlight 'Late Era Campaign' on the 2nd screen (on left ) before clicking start campaign.If the game description text appears on the right you can start.
It took me a while to realise that.
