Whoa. Looks very nice. You could give the Kurghansmen those pointy helmets the lancers have though.

thanks dr croccer, i would like to give many of them the pointed helmets/hats, but that would mean new models which i think make the game slower. there are other mods which will have the more historical looking units and the models, but i want to have large armies y’know.

this mod is more about gameplay and just giving anew look.

the campaign map will now have different colours too, with the romans now returned to medium red [spartans dark red], germans gold, gauls a nicer green, macedon purple and scythia black.

i have renamed the generals guard for spartans as ‘kings guard’ [with descriptions and everything] and given the macs etc their own general.
also i have given the carthaginians much stronger starting positions, scutarii and archers [the ones that already existed in the game].

does this install in its own folder or will it overwrite my vanilla stuff?

it installs over sparta 0.5, its a zip file so you just direct it to rtw and overwrite the sparta mod. it may be my crappy graphics card but i am have transparency issues with some of the units - so it may be worth sticking to sparta 0.5!

i am doing another upgrade [sparta II] using only vannila skins retrofitted from bi and alex [apart from the spartans]. i think that will be better then.

no its not actually i have found many faults so have deleted the download. however i am redoing 0.5. and have already reskinned rome and carthage.

it now works without the expansions! and the skins no longer have transparency issues!
