    Default Hanseatic League Headquarters Question

    So, I was under the impression that two things were true:

    1) There can only be one guild headquarters in the world.
    2) The Hanseatic League is a unique case, and there will only be one associated building for it, ever.

    Now, assuming those are both the case, I'm wondering what's going on with my Denmark campaign. I currently have one "Hanseatic League Headquarters" in Lubeck, and a second one in Oslo, and to top it all off, I'm being offered a third to stick in Lund.

    Is this supposed to happen? Or, does anybody have any idea what's going on?

    I noticed this as well in my Danish campaign. I don't think adding additional HQs increases trade either though I may be incorrect.

    Not a bad idea to stash a few around your kingdom though in case you lose one.

    Two things I learn from my Templar campaign:
    1) It's a common thing - Hanseatic League Headquarters in Baghdad (offered to build next year after I conquered it); and
    2) Yes, there could be more than one HQ, although I found the second one in AI city.

    hmm.. that's weird. :hmmm: I've just looked into the guilds file again and actually it should be impossible to have more than one headquarter...

    The trigger says that points for a HQ can only be earned if it wasn't built yet.
    I'll check it again, maybe the condition doesn't work correctly...

    I had two or three of them in a recent Novgorod campaign, as well.

    2. In my Danish campaign i had about 10 Hanseatic League Headquarters and they effects were multipled.

    I remember my trading income jumped about 600 florins after I built my first one. I had all the Scandinavian provinces except the 3 owned by Norway to start. Most that came from Arhus, though.

    It's a nice little addition.

    In my Norway campaign I got about 7-8 before I stopped playing the campaign, and I had only conquered about 20 territories by that time. I kept building for two reasons:

    1) In case one city was captured, I'd have more than one backup
    2) I wasn't sure but if each added an increase in trade bonus I figured I'd spend the 4000 florins or whatever to get the bonus. I do know that with 20 territories I was making insane cash after those hq's were built, but I have no idea or evidence if the benefits stacked.

    They do stack. I had like 20 or so, maybe more, in my HRE campaign.

    There must be something wrong with this building.

    I had only one as Novgorod but it was in my landlocked capital Mensk. What if I moved my capital to Constantinople? Would I have hanseatic league there? What if I moved out to Egypt? :-)

    EDIT: I confirm that the bug they report is present in the mod. I don't know how it happens but I keep being offered the headquarters despite I already have it, just like it was another guild.

    Ok so the guild file has something like this in it.

    Two questions
    1) If the guild is always in the captial, why have settlement bonuses
    2) where is I_EventCounter hanseatic_constructed, becuase its not in the campaign script, and thats where it should be.

    IMO you could have two levels of this building, the first to show where the league operated, the headquarters in your capital. Another way is to have one trigger which checks if you have 4 of the key locations. You would have to pick which, as there is no InList() type of ability.

    I have this too and was thinking of posting the question. glad someone beat me to it. i think i must have at lest 8 or 9 HL HQs in my current Danish campaign. Maybe that's why I am making like 25000 per turn?

    Maybe it breaks when you move your capital away from the Baltic?

    By the way, I kept refusing those additional guilds and this wouldn't stop them.

    When you refuse a guild, you should get negative points towards it, I think this is the case for all other guilds or at least should be. Maybe it's one more thing to look into?

    Actually, I've never changed my capital. It's still Arhus (incidentally, Arhus doesn't have a Hanseatic League Headquarters).

    I suspect the problem is that the game isn't treating the building the way it does a normal headquarters, perhaps because the first two levels of the guild are "missing". Whatever the reason, it seems that the game is treating it like a normal "level one" guild, of which you can have an unlimited amount.

    From what I've read in the kingdoms expansion manual there are no lower guild houses for the Hanseatic League. There is supposed to be one headquarters for the entire world and that's all.

    Right, that's what's supposed to happen. I don't know if Vanilla Kingdoms has any problems with this (of course, given the other fairly critical things it does have problems with, it very well might), but it's clear that something about the Hanseatic League triggers isn't working here.

    Yes, I'm confirming this problem as well. In my teutonic campaign, I got 3 headquarters ( novgorod, riga and visby - all built by me ), and I'm getting new offers all the time.

    The event is definitely broken, I just wonder if the 'additional' headquarters are giving any bonuses at all?
