Hello again! I'm back after a 6-month leave! And do you know what I brought back with me? A desire to restart my AAR!

Now, sadly, there was a harsh reality to face when I first decided... It was a much older version of MIITW, and as such, had a much higher chance of me going against a super pope. Therefore I shall start anew, with a re-visioning of the Great Journey.

...In any case, I shall attempt to regain past glory with the clarity of hindsight. I now know what to do, and what not to do (like invading Rome).

Ah yes... Here we are again... I gather up all my units, buy a merchant, rent a boat, and I'm on my way...



Yes, I decided Cagliari was a little to risky, as it is often the promised land for the Sicilians. In this case, the Sicilians had allied with the successful Venetians, so I was especially wary...



Ah yes, the princess... No one can refuse those Russian lips and hips, even the pope! (If you're wondering, I took Adjaccio without a single casualty).



Yup, hopefully the alliance will last forever.

Yeah, I figured selling Novgorod to the Milanese, HRE, Venetians, and Sicilians would be misguided as I would be fighting them down the road, so the French got it. I then stole their prince with my princess. Damn straight.

Anyways, I know this post is kinda skimpy on the fun, but to be honest I've been playing it safe. In the last AAR I had around 10 battles by this same time, but I'll start having some epic clashes soon enough (unfortunately...).

Nope. I just got into a 100-year pope/milanese/sicilian/venetian/moorish fight and I'm looking for some closure...
