    Candelarius, I have a question for you. I have retrofit mod installed with Kingdoms units addon. So, the question is: what AI does this mod use? Is it Vanilla AI?

    Im having an issue with your grand units addon and was wondering if you (or anyone) could/can help me out? I downloaded everything you asked me to do, patch 1.5 and the retrofit mod. Now after I downloaded the grand units add on all it does is have an icon on my desktop and each time I double click to play it says if I want to re-install again.

    Now im pretty good when it comes to extracting and figuring out things but this one has my stomped. I read your "how to" install list and I still cant figure out where it is. All I have is the (Grand_Unit_Addon_Mod_ReadMe) file in my (C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War) folder. No Grand_Unit_Addon_Mod.exe file is to be found. Please help! I hear this mod is amazing!

    As my readme states, no other changes are included that are not specifically outlined in the readme. So the AI used by this mod would be the same AI used in the Retrofit Mod, which is a slightly changed version of the default vanilla AI. There is another AI mod that was specifically designed to be used with my mod in this sub-forum, if you really think you need changes to the AI files of the game.

    Phil, it sounds like you are trying to run the game by continually launching the installer.

    Launch the mod by starting the Retrofit Mod like normal. As the readme states, my mod is a mod specifically designed for use with the Retrofit Mod. You can launch the Retrofit Mod with the mod's desktop icon, shortcut menu, or the M2TW Launcher.

    Sure, as soon as somebody fixes Filefront.

    "Downloads - Server maintenance is currently underway. Some files may be unavailable during this time. We apologize for the inconvenience."

    Try the download link later, I'm sure they are just temporarily down.

    EDIT: Filefront is back up and the download link is working again.

    BTW, I think I'm at about 20,000 downloads of this mod now, thanks everyone for playing. :-)

    Step 1 in the install instructions in the first post of this thread states that you need Kingdoms patched to 1.5 (latest patch).

    I've KingBanners 3 installed alongside Retrofit mod ,will your mod overwrite this or will be compatible with it?

    I just tested the download links, they are working fine. Please contact Filefront technical support for assistance. And before you ask, I'll quote from my FAQ again:

    Q: Could you please host this mod on another site, I cannot download from Filefront, or, I cannot download from Filefront because my country has limited servers.

    I've had issue downloading from Filefront just now as well. It get stuck in "preparing download".

    However, i found a workaround. Click on "candelarius" breadcrum link and then find the grand Unit Addon v6 file and click download now.

    I got a quick question. If you download this mod withoutKingdoms being patch to 1.5, can you still patch Kingdoms afterwards to play it or do i have to redowload it? For some reason the patch didn't take the first time and I still have only the 1.4.

    I'm not sure what you mean. This mod requires the Kingdoms 1.5 patch to function properly. If you already installed this mod, simply re-installed the 1.5 patch. You shouldn't need to reinstall this mod after installing the 1.5 patch again.

    Yeah, I'm not sure why Filefront is doing that. Just use the workaround discovered by dar25 if you have a problem getting the download link to work. It's probably a temporary server issue that will clear itself up.

    Okay, I have a new problem. Have the 1.5 Kingdoms patch and the Retrofit 1.0, but when I download and do everything you say to do on the first page, it had no effects. It installs and when I go to the retrofit mod there is nothing new. Any suggestions?

    You must not be installing the mod correctly. Make sure you are installing the Retrofit Mod and the GUAM into your M2TW folder on your hard drive.

    I did download both correctly. Would the Custom Campaign 2 Mod have any reason to mess with the Add on?
