Salvia Divinorum

So, I've just been informed of the existence of this. It's an herb called Salvia Divinorum which is completely legal in many many places. It is said to incur psychedelic effects. My gut instinct about this drug was that it was morally wrong. Why is that? I look towards the basis of my morality, Christianity, and found pretty much nothing against it. Now, why was it that I immediately thought that the use of a substance like this was wrong? I have been attempting to think of the arguments for and against the use of this drug. I have a hard time of seeing this as ethically wrong because it isn't illegal. Do you think that it is on par with tobacco?(which I have no problem smoking in moderation.) Because it's legal I can't see any problems with it. Can anyone think of any ethical arguments against it's usage?

Also, while were here, has anyone had any experience with Salvia Divinorum? I'm interested to here some.

I've smoked it a few tiems. Didn't do much for me. It's a bit like weed, only less fun.
As for why you were initially set against it, I guess that's cos "drugs are bad, m'kay".

salvia to be really effective should be reduced in leaf form by 10x you can use denatured alchohol to do this easily.

or you need to chew the fresh leaves; but if you only have dried product you should smoke it , in the reduced form; its affects are very noticable if used with other psychoactives--- it produced a consistent "frieght train" effect when used with extasy (all kinds of different people mind you with no idea about what they were smoking reported this very intense effect)

when I did it I would see columns of shadows move around like snakes in the room and also I would feel as if I had wires in my wrists which pulled my hands upwards.
