Can anybody tell me how to use the battle editor. I would like to create some historical battles. I've tired a few times but can't seem to create any armies etc.
Help!!
Hi,
I find that when making your own Battles that it is very important to place your armies exactly where you want them as they are hard to move after they are placed. Secondly you need to make sure that each faction has it's own objectives. If I remember correctly, make sure that the boxes are checked for each faction and at the bottom of the objectives you'll also need to create 2 objectives. This is a little difficult as the editor will always tell you that you need to have more objectives. I usually ignore the last warning( I think it is a bug) and save it when there is only one objective left. I probably made this more confusing for you but....anyways good luck with your historicle battles.

For some reason I can't get the create units (F3) icon or the deplyment (F4) icon to work. I can get the create army (F2) one to work. So. for example I select the goths, then the name of the general, then click OK, but this doesn't activaye the F3 and F4 keys.
Can anyone help. Hey Silver Knight, do you have any instructions for how to use the battle editor?
Thanks Guys
Hey where do you go to create new maps ?
I thought it only worked for RTW - whats the shortcut code to get it to work on BI?
I had ago using it ages ago and I found it difficult.
So what battles are you doing? - How can you do historical battles in a 'what if?' campaign?
