I'm not sure if this has been asked already but how do you plan on working with the M2TW process of choosing a faction heir?

Maybe they can use the papal system , depends on faction . Rome in 270 b.c. was a Repubblic , the papal system would be a good choice , but for other factions like Ptolemaic (Monarchy) ,the situation is different.

Quinctilius Varus, give me back my legions!
sorry I couldn't help myself, I just watched that show "Secret History" the episode of Varus' Lost Legions.
I've brought up that idea on the DLV forums but apparently the papal elections are hardcoded.

for all our sake's, please stop the adopted son always getting the crown, seriously, dynasties involve the different kings being RELATED, though it was different with the Emperors, consistency would be nice
Unfortunately, the automatic heir selection is completely hardcoded in M2TW.
It ruined the whole game for me and is the sole reason I can't play MiNO anymore.
DAMN YOU CREATIVE ASSEMBLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!
maybe this can be solved, in the Roman republic, at least, for most of it's course there was no leader, so having one probably shouldn't hold too much significance, and when it comes to the Emperors, they were rarely chosen long before the death of the previous emperor, so there should be an element of chance and risk; the emperor should have a highly unforeseeble development.
For monarchiale factions, they should have a feature that limits adoption and causes the faction leader to be generally a stronger character, so fewer family members, but better ones.
only if its possible, however
Well, there is going to be another Kingdoms patch, so you never know, they might get rid of auto heirs.
