    Default Help!

    Hi everyone,
    I'm new to modding so bare with me.
    I've tried to edit a unit that someone created, but when I try to export, all I get is a message saying:
    " mesh body must have skin modifier at top of stack."
    What does this mean?
    I'm using 3ds MAX 2008.

    You haven't re-weighted the model, to do this you need to add a skin modifier in the Column on the right (stack) and then weight the vertices. Best thing to do is DL Prof's tutorials..

    Done that...doesn't work mate.
    The unit was stiff as a board int the game!
    Wish someone could explain what I need to do.
    Basically which vertices, bones do I need to weight.

    The unit was stiff as a board int the game!
    Then you've weighted all the verts to the abs bone, you need to use the same process but weight the verts to the correct bones. The tutorials work but it takes time to get your head around it.

    Cheers Buddy, will do that. Couldn't get my head round those video tutorials so early on in my modding career!
    That guy is damn good though. Wish I could do that.
