I wish that I could use the "create_unit" for actual generals instead of just units. Like I think it would be cool if you could create a Saladin, who starts off with max chivalry and max command stars. Then you can summon 5 Saladins in an army. You can also add 5 King Richards to the list as well.
I used to have fun for a time playing the rebels, and I would summon these Jaguar Warriors, and pair them up Followers of Perkunas and Giltine's Chosen and Viking Warriors/Norse Swordsmen/Axemen with a Dismounted Gothic Knights or two who do the grunt work, Coyote Priests for morale support, Janissary Archers and Byzantine Guard Archers and Dismounted Dvor for long range fire, Koitsenko for devestating close fire, Mongol Heavy Archers/Mamluk Archers for harassment, and a bunch of Russian and Hungarian spearmen and Onde's Men for anti-cav. Using Polish Cav, and Stadiots, and Khasseki also made my heavy cav powerful. I also wanted Mounted Thunder Braves for guns but didn't get the opportunity to do it.
If I wanted to, I'd also mix up Sudanese Tribesmen for light fighting duties and Catalans or Arrow Warriors or Naffatun for skirmishing.
Would you have wanted to have summonable generals so that you could instantly add a Saladin or a King Richard or some other guy? I would find it really cool to have 3 Saladins commanding an army of Pagans, Aztecs, Apaches, and Muslims and Christians all at once. They even have their own faction colors too so you'd have green and red and brown and blue and purple in your army.
