Is Kingdoms worth getting?

Is Kingdoms worth getting? Why or why not? I'm sure its been asked but I went back a few pages and didn't see it.

I thought it was awesome, but a lot of people would disagree with me unfortunately... It has some cool new units, options and some flashy new maps to fight on. I like it!:thumbsup4

Yes and no. I thought it was good, but its what M2TW should of been tbh.

Yes it is worth getting. It will keep you occupied until EMpire Total War no doubt. How can you argue with 4 different campaign

It's worth getting so you can use the mods which make it playable. Many mods are switching to or already require the Kingdoms.exe to run, in order to use the new units and features such as boiling oil.

Absolutely! its well worth the money for what you pay. 4 completely new campaigns (very well made) dozens of new factions and lots of new units, its got the lot. And as Averroes says if you wanted a better grand campaign, there are plenty of mods for Kingdoms that give you this as well

Including Dave's own Grand Campaign mod for Kingdoms, which you can find in the Kingdoms mods forum here. If you haven't tried it, then you should. Go now. Drop what you're doing and go download it. What are you waiting for? Drop the donut. Run!

Seriously, Dave Scarface's mod is a good one, and there are plenty of others. But don't forget to also just play the 4 campaigns in Kingdoms, too!

hi, i was wondering: what's the deal with the Kingdoms. i've read some reviews about it etc. and it looks cool. but what do the gamers think about it? and how does the different campaigns work? can you play a skirmish with the teutonic order against spain etc.? or is this not possible?

Yes u can do custom battles against original factions and it´s worth buying IMO, I for one especcially enjoyed the teutonic campaign.

Eggthief is right. The TO campaign is the best and hardest, i think. CA really did a great job on the atmosphere and mood w/ that one.

It's a quality expansion, no doubt, but I prefer the larger campaign map of the original game.

Though it was good for a single run through each of the campaigns... It just didn't enthrall me with such small maps. Britannia was the best, IMHO, but I still feel there should have been more territories... Many more...

I'm sure there's a mod for that, though.

Kingdoms is awesome- If you enjoyed M2TW and don't own Kingdoms, then buy it!

Got it for christmas. I like the campaigns, but theyre not anything revolutionary. I mainly bought it because mods such as Stainless Steel required it

I bought it but haven't spent much time in any of the new campaigns. They are too short with too little factions, but I use Kingdoms to run Stainless Steel.
