Unit Size
So im new here, and i have mtw2 on steam. i know you can edit unit size, but can someone give me a link or explain what i would have to edit to do that. i tried downloading files to make unit sizes bigger but they never work.
Also is there a list of units, for the command create_unit "Settlement" Unit * * * *?

Re: Unit Size
IIRC the biggest unit size is 243, I could be wrong though...

Re: Unit Size
There is a limit as to how high you can move them, but imo the easiest way to change the unit size is to get a mod.

Re: Unit Size
You have to edit extr_descr_unit file and change the size there. it should be located in your data folder.
If you play vanila with no mods you wont see it. you have to use unpacker first then modify the file. There is too much explaining to do if you have never done it before - go to mod workshop forum and look for a tuttorial there, theere is plenty of information there...

Re: Unit Size
Are we editing unit sizes (i.e. game files) or just changing the unit scale?
If we're just changing the scale then go to Viedo Options on the main menu and change the unit scale accordingly.
(Can someone verify that it's viedo options and not game options please.)

Re: Unit Size
I forget if it is game options or video options, but it can definitely be done IN GAME without editing files.
NOTE: you must do this before starting a campaign. I know of no way to edit unit size for a campaign after the campaign has started.

Re: Unit Size
if you change it ingame the biggest unit will still only be 150.
i modded mine so the biggest are 240, normal is 200 and horses are 100.
quite nice, actually. lots of action
.
btw, if you plan on changing the export_descr_unit i really suggest you use the "Replace" option in notepad and replace the unit sizes. for example, Armoured Sergeants normally have 60, so if you replace
, 60, 0,
with
, 96, 0,
then you'll edit EVERY unit with 150 soldiers to 240 soldiers. that trick can of course be used for every size. (24, 48, 60 are the common ones).
Trust me, it'll save you LOADS of time.
