I want to make clear this is my idea but that i wond make this mod, I encourage modders to make it.
I've been thinking and I had this idea:
Make a Civ Total War
This game would be like a Sid Meiner's Civilization but using buildigs and soldiers... everything from M2TW.
First thing: Not much historical accuracy, You may have cartago rulling the world in 2000.
Second thing: No events.
Third thing: real map and no real maps.
Fourth thing: Factions and their special unit/s

(air/space units can cross any terrain)
As you can see there are many units, that's good. But there would be no real time strategy, all combats would be automatic.
No religion and no nobles, no nobles but heroes that appear after great battles.
In the campaign maps the units would be recogniseable, you wouldn't see the general's skin, you'd see the first unit's skin.
Campaign maps: Real Map (every nation would start in its real place), Islands (1 per nation), Pangea (everyone has a piece of beach and has to expand trough the land).
Cities: As M2TW doesn't let you create new cities the campaign maps would already have the cities but they would be rebel and they would have no one inside, so you take whatever unit you want and conquer the city.
A few changes: Every unit would be able to build fortresses (free) and watch towers.
