    Icon3 Another medieval remake?

Sorry if someone already posted this.

I am just wondering how many of you hard core medieval fans would actually want/buy a new version of medieval total war (effectively medieval 3 total war) if all the bugs, errors, performance issues and historical innacuracies were fixed?

Personally I believe that the medieval period is the best setting for this kind of game, and if it were made to (near) perfection would it be worth re-making?

    :hmmm:

Of course! Why would I in my right state of mind not buy Medieval III: Total War? Especially if it were made to be like this; no inaccuracies (almost impossible actually), no bugs (difficult), and the whole world with at least fifty factions (again, difficult to implement).

the innacuracies would be first on my lost to sort out, performance issues second. I actually dissagree with you about the above being difficult to acheive, creative assembly just need to do a little more research and take their time.

The no bugs part, yeah fair enough, no game is bug free, well not on the PC anyway.

any game that tries to emulate historical facts =/= fun it is almost always ends with 1 faction being way too overpower, because hey, according to you, it is accurate, that faction is suppose to be that powerful. get what I am trying to say? asking for 100% historical accuracy in a game is 100% impossible.

for the game to have no bugs, they will need to do a 6 - 12 months of QA with the entire TW fanbase.

I would also love the idea of a round world.

Kingdoms is such an improvement that if just another expansion/fix as it were offered at $50 I'd snap it up in a New York second.

If it brought back all the positive parts from the original MTW while keeping the strong points of M2TW, yes, probably IŽd get it.

If we could mount/dismount our cavalry/knights like in the original MTW I'd be down for a new one.

I'd like to see Medieval 3, especially as it would probably be made using the Empire engine. Although, I'd rather see Rome 2 before anything else.

The Total War series is altered history, we would not need the game to be accurate to be fun as long as the game keeps in scope.

personally, i'm not to keen on getting Empire: total war. but i'll see how it turns out. i like the medieval concept the most. tho if they would make a medieval III: total war, i would like the mounted knights to do a little bit more damage :p. and perhaps make the map a tiny bit bigger? so you could go to Mekka etc.?

That would be great. It would be nice to be able to go further East. Such as, featuring the areas seen in Kingdoms and Alexander.
