I don't know about kingdom; should I play vanilla and wait for a major mod to come out?
How's the current mod?

kingdoms is basically 4 extremely well made mods for the m2tw game. don't install anything else before you actually play all 4 of the mini campaigns once. this has more value than the original I think.
If at all, for the time being I recommend Nebucadnezarīs Bugfixes for the Crusade and Teutonic Order campaign.
Life is a sequence of missed opportunities
thanks man! the campaign seems pretty slow paced, no more arcade style.
Cant wait for Deus lo vult though.
actually you can play both vanilla and a mod such as Stainless Steel 5.1 for Kingdoms, look here http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=126810
best to make a mod folder first.
Stainless Steel makes it's own mod folder so it disturbs none of the game files. SS just adds a lot of the features and units found in Kingdoms to the Campaign game. Having both an Early and a High period campaign. But I recommend playing them a bit then trying a mod. -Vic
I'm still Kung-Fu Bishes!
Uninstalling SS 5.1 destroyed files needed for the original game to run.
I would suggest (Only to those who are windows experts) to install SS into a completely different directory. Outside of MTW2 altogether. Delete it's .cfg file and move the folder into your MTW2 mods folder so it would be "MTW/mods/SS 5" after that open regedit and duplicate any of the official mod entires and simply redirect the duplicate to the SS folder instead of it's previous location. This will let you launch SS 5 from the Official Launcher application and will really keep it under control. Though you still cannot run the SS 5.1 uninstaller because it still deletes important game files.![]()
As for the Paladin, the battle with the Dragon isn't the danger, it's the battle in the heart that he must be wary of.
I usually make a 2nd folder from the org. M2TW-install and put the mod in there, some mods like DLV wont let you install in a new folder so make sure you got a clean backup of M2tw as well(M2TW is about 8 gig lol +/- mods)
well i must say i planed ahead and got 1 TB Hds ..was well worth it
I just found that out the hard wayno need for a mod folder.
How many floppy disks would that take for me to save the 15 Gbs onto? I'm 63. Assuming I live to the ripe old age of 70, do I have enough time to do this so I can pass the game on to my grandchildren?
