Problem with medieval2.preference.cfg and Vista?
Okay, I have installed M2TW, Kingdoms, SS 5.1. I have been playing the game now for some 20 turns. The green arrow markers are ticking me off. So I go to the cfg file to turn them off and guess what, the cfg file is empty... WTF!?
How can I change settings if the cfg file is empty? Is it a Vista issue that I am not aware of? Do I need to set permissions somewhere to see the contents of the file or something? It's the first time I have seen this happen. I am a complete Vista n00b.

Re: Problem with medieval2.preference.cfg and Vista?
There is only one medieval2.preference.cfg in the vanilla folder. I don't understand how the game can run with it it blank. I'm sure it's a vista screwup. But the game runs fine, it's crazy. I just want to adjust some settings.

1. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=397636 should help.
2. Unhide all files and folders in Folder Options.
3. Start a new campaign.
4. Now try it.
