Campaing Map Water

How can I change the campaign map water "texture" back to vanilla? It is slowing my game down tremendously.

You can download the vanillas from the EB website, although I can promise you, the new water is not slowing down the campaign map.

What is slowing my game then? It ran smoothly in vanilla with the same settings. Is this the background script? And if so, is there anything I can do to speed it up?

Yes, it is the backround script. There isn't really anything you can do about it either (ps the script is necessary, without it the game is broken). There are a few guides and suggestions about. There should be a link in the FAQ to a guide that will help speed a bit.
