Irish Re-skin for Kingdoms.

Ok...I was tired of the blinding bright green Irish units so I reskinned them (most of them). Some of these skins are based on Burrek's Unique Europeans, some of them are my own and some of them were done by Fra70 for the Dawn of Kingdoms mod.

1. Installation Instructions*:

-back up your data/unit_models folder.
-drag the enclosed data folder and drop it into the directory mods/britannia.
-when prompted, click "yes to all" to overwrite the existing files.


2. Notes:

-The only shields that have been retextured at all are heaters and kite shields.
-Highlander textures have not been modified at this point.
-Calivermen textures have not been modified at this point.
-Mounts textures have not been modified at this point.
-Officers' textures have not been modified at this point.
-New Normal textures have been created for some textures.
-IMPORTANT! This texture pack replaces your existing battle_models file. Therefore, this installation is not compatable with campaigns that are using any other mod that makes changes to the battle_models file. If you wish to run this skin pack with other mods that alter the battle_models file, the textures must be installed manually.

Credits:

Fra70 for making some of the textures.
Burrek for making such a great skinset to use as a base for some of the textures.
All other work by Lord Condormanius.

Feel free to use this skinset in any mod you choose as long as credit is given as "Lord Condormanius' Irish Skinpack"...or something to that effect.


*I have also included the textures seperately for modders who wish to use them for whatever reason.

Ok, well if I get a few more interested people I will try to put a pack together at some point today.

I just had surgery on my ankle two days ago and I will be laid up for 2-4 weeks, getting bored and growing old. I'll have the time to do it, but the tricky part is maneuvering around the house and getting up and down the stairs.

Whatever the case, I'm glad that at least one person finds my skins appealing.

Really nice work. The realism freak in me wishes there was more yellow/saffron (definately from about 1400 on most Gaelic Irish soldiers would have mostly saffron clothing, with fanciful "celtic" borders in different colours) but it still looks great, big improvement on vanilla.

in all my subjects i recieve in 90% the maxiumum grade..in the 9 year of school (in portugal is from 1 to 12, excluding university) i recieve a 5 (the maximum)




what about expand the texturing ?
i really would like to see the norwegians, using in their shiels, more norse symbols, a pagan legacy, such as odin's hammer, some pagan-christian (semi-christian) symbols
