Total war?

Hey, i chanced upon another game that looks "total war".

Is that supposed to be a CA rival?

Yea....don't think that could rival CA's total war games. Whats more, ETW is coming out.

Well the screens look nice, but that grahics is not hmmmm, well exactly what is wrong with it? it is not that it is bad but it is just not Total War'like enough ;-)

@Kelvintyk - the hell with ETW, I am waiting for Shogun2/ome2/Medieval3 ;-)
I would be interested in selling my own kids(if I had them) so CA decides to make one of the above games ;-)

Sounds really boring to me, the battles aren't that fun without the turn-based campaign to back them up.

nice unit detail and animations, battles seams chaotic, horses beat inf if they dont have spears, but crossbows seam to have no effect at all, aprently no blood or dirt, colors seam to bright, no strategy aspect what so ever only tactic, i think the game will be to shallow like if there only were historic/custom battles of metwii.

note im Judging the game soly on the gamespot preview and vids from the games site

Looks nice, but just fighting battles is boring .
In my opinion the only real alternative to total war is Knights of Honor. I won a campain without sieging a town, just with spies and diplomatie .

Sounds kind of interesting actually, but it's not a competitor. Basically something like a set of Historical Battles from MTW2. I like the unit detail, although they look a bit too clean and cartoony for my tastes. Since this game lacks a large turn-based campaign I see there is going to be much emphasis on the units, like archers actually putting an arrow to the string and pulling it back.

So, looks promising, but it won't impeded CA.

prefer m2tw, especially since they have some variety within units. one of the best things about the game i think

As ive already pointed out its a console game, ergo the graphics...

Wont get this quality of graphics on a PC but the console game wont have the depth of playability
