WTF? anyone else get shunned by evry1?

yea. for some reason, every faction is rejecting my alliance offers. my reputation and relations are reasonable and mixed. every time i try and forge an alliance, it says the alliance is very demanding, unless i offer a ridiculous bonus, like all my freaking settlements.........wtf?

Well many factors are involved. What faction are you playing? And what is your power? I have noticed that it is usually the easiest way to get alliances early in the game before your standing changes with some factions...

uhm. its only turn...23 or so, im playing as england, my power is...not sure, think its average, and i have played it earlier with no problem.

Well I remember when playing as england I had problems with getting alliance with france and germany but scotland for example signed it with me and most of all honored for like 100 years ;-)

idk wat is going on. evry faction seems to not want an alliance with me.
scotland, france, HRE, Milan, venice, sicily, portugal, spain, denmark, poland, russia, even freaking Papal States doesnt want an alliance, and my rating with the pope was like 8! wtf???

hmmm, ok. something weird happened. i restarted, and straight away, on the first turn, the french accepted an alliance. also, for some odd reason, on the last go (which i will call the bug run), all the rebel towns had no armies in them. so, i cud just go straight in and occupy without problem. wat the bug??

Chivalry, Chivalry, Chivalry, Pope, Pope, Pope
1. Get those alliances FAST. Do not wait around to go and get your Alliances or you may not get them until your more powerful.
2. Do not sack, or exterminate, Crusade if you can to get your Chivalry up.
3. Get to the Pope ASAP. Too many people ignore the pope. Remember he is THE most powerful person in the world at this time. He can absolutly ruin a king if he wants. Get an alliance right away and dont piss him off too much. Kill him if you absolutly have to and get a new pope.
