    Default Implementing Hotseat Mode: V 1.2

    Okay, I've searched and searched the forums, but to no avail. My boyfriend and I want to play a hotseat game (I don't have kingdoms yet), but I can't find any detailed instructions on how to do it. Can someone please explain it
    to me, step by step? I'd really love to do this. Thanks!

    you change this in your medieval2.preferences.cfg so that it is written like below.

    [multiplayer]
    playable = true

    [hotseat]
    autoresolve_battles = 0
    disable_console = 0
    disable_papal_elections = 0
    save_prefs = 1
    update_ai_camera = 1
    validate_diplomacy = 1
    turns = false
    scroll = false

    with this settings you can play also defensive battles. full guide to what does what under

    to take control of a faction you either have to select it when you start a campaign or open the console and type:

    control <faction>

    i.e.
    control HRE
    control England
    control Turks

    just use the same faction names like in your descr_strat.txt

    if you type

    control HRE

    again it will change the control for HRE back to AI control.

    Dont forget to make the preference file read only.
