what are the differences between the early and late era campaigns? starting dates, building restrictions, ect.
new factions, more advanced start, more advanced units, different time of the turns, etc
early: starts at 1080 and have templars, 1.5 per turn
late: starts at 1230 and have teutonic order, and turns are 1.0 per turn
Common sense removed due being Disruptive.
thanks Ataegina can i still build fortresses, citadels and huge cities in the early era assuming my pop meets the reqs? also, will the teutonic order emerge if i play the early era to 1230?
great news, thanks.

If the Teutonic Order does emerge in the early era, will it be a conflict that I have added the Order as playable from the start in the early era.
I started a campaign with them in the early era and dont want to get a surprise CTD later on lol
Woohoo! win win
lol
Quick question. Does the early era flow into the late era with the fullness of time? In a way becoming a Grand campaign? I know you would have to continue on after the end of early campaign but is that how it works?
No. The early campaign just starts at an earlier date (1080). It doesn't end at the start of the late era...it still keeps going until the end date (cant remember what it is atm). The late era campaign just starts later (1230) and is entirely separate from the early era.
Okay so what you are saying is, it doesn't matter how long you play an early era campaign, you will never get late era units, cannons and stuff.
no tyhe early campain just starts of earlier! when you reach the era of the late campain you will still play trough! after which you will get cannons and guns and the entire technology stuff i never reach...![]()
Haha, same here. I usually never play so long early era campaigns to get all these high-end stuff (canons, muskets, etc.)*. But now I have a Denmark campaign running, where I am shortly before the Invention(btw I play with 0.5 yrs per turn).
EDIT: * I changed this sentence, so that it makes sense.
EDIT 2 : The sentence still doesn't make sense. What I want to say is: I play early era campaigns, but never reach the scenario were you get canons and muskets. I still can't articulate it properly. Damn what is wrong with me? It isn't very important anyway.

My Home is my Castle.
