How can you lower the time between Crusades?
descr_campaign_db
<crusades>
<required_jihad_piety int="3"/>
<max_disband_progress float="20.0"/>
<near_target_no_disband_distance float="4.0"/>
<disband_progress_window float="3"/>
<crusade_called_start_turn float="10"/>
<jihad_called_start_turn float="10"/>
<movement_points_modifier float="2.2"/>
</crusades>
changes it, the way you want, more or less![]()

This:
<crusades>
<required_jihad_piety int="6"/>
<max_disband_progress float="0.0"/>
<near_target_no_disband_distance float="600.0"/>
<disband_progress_window float="3"/>
<crusade_called_start_turn float="20"/>
<jihad_called_start_turn float="20"/>
<movement_points_modifier float="1.8"/>
The bolded number stands for number of turns before a crusade is called. Lower it for more frequent crusades or increase it for a longer pause between crusades.
Baird: "Hey! Stop shooting it, you're pissing it off!"
Cole: "You're telling me what not to shoot in here? Look at this ****!"
_____________
Carmine: "Landown? I heard there's a ****load of grubs down there..."
Marcus: "More like 10 ****loads"
_____________
Dom: "Marcus, ya ever seen them feed on imulsion?"
Marcus: "Hmph, they can eat **** and die for all I care..."
also to increase more jihads, you can reduce the first line and make them be able to call with minimal piety *just tip*![]()

I have seen Papal forces frequently involved in crusades. Do you mean the Papal faction itself calling for more crusades?
