All the reviews i had read were pointing towards a waste of a perfectly good hour and forty minutes, but since it's been ages since i paid much attention to reviews, i decided to go and watch it anyway. I am glad i did. Its the first good movie based on a videogame. I never thought i'd write these words but the film is actually quite good. Go and watch it. And don't pay attention to reviewers anymore(if you ever did).

I always pay attention to reviewers I just dont agree with most of them.
I saw the movie and it WAS disapointing, maybe my standarts are too high right now but the movie was completly untrhiling to the max.

If director Xavier thinks he can just relly on the success of the games to make me droll when I see 47 killing people he is wrong, the image 47 has in the games must be equally built in the movies. Thats why reviwers that never played the game hated the movie. The movie should be about the characters not their body count. Except for Olyphant the acting was also terrible and the script doesnt help at all. The plot is treated as secondary and has more holes than the moon.

IMO In the end Hitman is better than most Video game movies but thats not saying much either.

I thought a combination of poor acting, poor storyline, and some rather cheesy scenes (barging into a room where two kids are playing the Hitman video game, anyone?) didn't make it the most inspiring movie I've ever seen.

The one really good thing about the movie? Olga Kurylenko.

Perhaps it was better if you had played the video games before (which I haven't) but I'm kind of regretting not having seen Beowulf instead.

You should consider yourself lucky for not having seen Beowulf. I just came back from the cinema. Beowulf is one of the crappiest films in the history of filming.

Really? I had seen it get some decent reviews (the one or two I saw had given it an A- and B+, respectively) and having read the book I already know the storyline is pretty good. Not that I'm doubting you, just surprised. Naturally, I'll have to see it myself to see either way

The Hitman movie was quite bad. Like many games that turn into movies, the game was much better than the movie. I am glad Vin Diesal didn't make it in. However, the new guy isn't too good. Would have been better if that guy who actually was the voice of 47 himself was the actor, I knew a lot of people wanted that guy in.

The movie was too Hollywoodish, too much explosions too much violence. He even blew his own cover on purpose, and it was so un-Hitman like. But I guess that is what they needed.

The train katana scene made no sense to me either.

I wonder if the Halo movie that is being done will end up being this bad, if they can ruin the Hitman, they can definitely ruin another great game.

Totally rediculous scene, how would anyone take that seriously? All the guys suddenly have knives on their backs, lol.

It gets worst when you realize they are actually making a Sims movie.
And Dragon ball Z live action is about to begin production in hollywood, and if they screw that I will personally blow their studios up in a terrorist attack. Lets hope Michael bay is not a DBZ fan.

Correction, Lets hope Michael bay isn't an Neon Genesis Evangelion fan, Theirs a live action movie in the works (Like Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre-Production) And if ADV screws it up, a few people are gonna end up dead.

And Hitman was just what i expected it to be, An Entertaining action-flick with not much to think about.

And the Train Scene was cool, I mean they are top-secret deadly assasins that Can kill 50 Russian Special forces guys (Who look like they're from Killzone by the way, anyone else notice that ?) by themselves.

Also, did anyone notice that Timmothy Olyphant had the exact same walk he had in Deadwood ?

Rather the special police from Jin-Roh, which is older than Killzone anyway.

Hitman had some nice action, some cheesy action, and no plot. The plot made no sense either, and there are so many holes to fill in.

The video game for Hitman really puts the movie to shame. It had a much better storyline at least....

[sarcasm] Yeah, I hate video game movies too, 'cause I go in expecting to see a movie at least on par with Casablanca or Schindler's List, and it just never measures up! It's almost as if these movies were made for the common man! [/sarcasm]

Hitman was a film of exquisite sex and wholesome violence, and it had a plot that would have gone well in a video game. I enjoyed it, I didn't write down my philosophical thoughts about it in my special notebook, but I enjoyed it.

I didnt expect a masterpiece, but I expected a decent and competent movie.
Hitman had horrible acting and terrible storytelling, and as good as the action might have been you just cant mess up those 2 basic elements. Its based in a masterpiece of gaming but that doesnt excuse it.

Except that movies dont really work like a video game, in the video game the plot can be treated as secondary for all I care.
