Why Pontus cannot recruit Persian Phalanx..?

Hi all..

I am currently playing a Pontic campaign, and fighting aganist macedon and selecuids allied aganist me...macedon stacks flood into Asia minor..

I dont have enough money to repel them, I see some macedon and selecuids have pesian phalax that have 155 dinarii upkeep...

Although, I controlled the buliding browser, but pontus cannot build them:hmmm:

Also, controlled it from export_descr_unit.txt, it says...
ownership barbarian, carthaginian, eastern, egyptian, greek, roman, slave

I am pretty sure in my macedon campaign, it is possible to recruit them from 2 level phases ...

Any idea?

The recruitng itself is done in EDB(export_descr_building from Rome - Total War/data). That`s what you`d need to modify. In EDU as you`ve said they already have the eastern culture ownership(which includes Pontus).
Looking in EDB I see that the aor persia phalanx(I presume you are refering to those and not the parsa sparabara/eastern mercenaries) are recruitable by Pontus from auxilia phase 3 upwords. They can only be recruited from the aor persia. Macedon can recruit them from aor asia too which makes their area of recruitment of this unit larger.
As for the reasons it is that way who knows what the original RTR devs were thinking 2 years ago.

Here is the reason..

recruit "aor persia phalanx" 0 requires factions { macedon, } and hidden_resource aor_pers
recruit "aor persia phalanx" 0 requires factions { macedon, } and hidden_resource aor_asia

Macedon are able to build them in both pers and asia, HOWEVER, pontus can only build them in pers area..

I have to conquer some persian land to get them...but which cities are in persian region..?

To find out what regions have which hidden resource you need to do a search for that resource in the file descr_regions from
Rome - Total War\data\world\maps\base
The names of the regions in there are largely those you see in the game. And you can use this map:

to make it easier to locate them.
