Is allowing primary school children to name a children's toy after a little boy who just happens to be called Muhammad an insult to the prophet Muhammad?

The prophet Muhammed needs some ****ing thicker skin.
He is the "Messenger of God", but needs an old lady imprisoned for some teddy-bear shite when she was only trying to help Sudanese kids in the first place.
OK. Evil lady.
BTW I don't think 1% of muslims would support that rubbish.
now crowds of demonstrators in Sudan demands her execution......![]()

TERMINAL BOREDOM "An nescis, mi fili, quantilla prudentia regitur orbis?"
I'm sure this is fantastic ammo for American propaganda machines.

This whole thing just emphasises culture gaps. There is a lot of Sudanese that think it was a very offensive thing, while we don't think much of it at all. She could have been sentenced to six months imprisonment, 40 lashes and deportation, so the courts were really quite lenient.
I don't agree with or understand their reactions, but I respect the sovereignty of the nation. If someone was to do something in this country that was offensive (whatever it may be - we are quite tolerant) I would expect due process of the law. Cultural ignorance should not be an excuse to not be subject to the law. We seem to be trying to stand on some plinth of higher morals, but again they are purely cultural.
I heard an interview with someone - I can't remember now whether it was the Sudanese Ambassador to the UK or their Foreign Minister himself, but apparently the fact it was a bear just compounded the perceived insult. Here Teddy Bears are soft, cute things that go with nursery rhymes and such, yet there bears are not at all a 'cute' or even acceptable creature - they are quite reviled.
She should serve her time, and be thankful it was so lenient. I read on the BBC website on the 'Have your say' that someone was actually wanting us to send in the SAS to rescue her! Now there is a good way to respect another nations culture, religious interpretations and legal system...
I say merge this ...
"When one person suffers from a delusion it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called religion." -- Robert Pirsig
"Feminists are silent when the bills arrive." -- Aetius
"Women have made a pact with the devil — in return for the promise of exquisite beauty, their window to this world of lavish male attention is woefully brief." -- Some Guy
this is just propaganda. it's almost being portrayed like it's happening in america or something.
(i'm just a spectator here...........dont mind me)

most of the time. it's because they ARE wahhabis
And wahhabis ARE sunnis and sunnis ARE Muslims.
So its pointless calling them wahabis. A lot of Sunni muslims are wahhabis and the distinction is not very defined.
actually the distinction is very clear. Wahhabis usually shave there head and wear extremely long beards. Wahhabis commit shirk and say that Allah has eyes and hands and sits on a throne. Wahhabis also have killed people for worshipping at the prophet's grave they consider it an act of polytheism. they also kill people for celebrating the prophet's birthday.
