Default Idle curiousity - What do you use for Crusading?

As the HRE, I started with 240 dismounted Teutons and 120 mounted. The Teutons requested support that could deal effectively with cavalry, so the Kaiser assigned them 150 Bergher Pikemen. On their way south to Bologna, where they were to set sail for Cairo, they were joined by a motley assortment of Italian Arbalesters and thirty wild-eyed crusaders pushing an enormous cross on a wagon. Outside Cairo, they befriended a group of Christian Saracens, who helped them take the walls.

I think I'm going to end up picking up a mercenary unit for that stack from each Crusade destination. Half the fun of returning from a crusade is the outlandish friends you bring home.

I normally bring a 1 full stack with two generals and one or two units of dismounted knights and then 2 units of Feudal Knights and the rest are a combination of archers and men at arms and spearmen.
