Spanish Dragoons
I recently got Kingdoms, but since I like to play the Grand Campaign I got the retrofit mod and added Kingdoms units to the vanilla Grand Campaign. I must say, Spanish Dragoons destroy anything else. It's not even fair. I put 10 units of Spanish Dragoons against 10 Elephant Cannons. The Dragoons absolutely destroyed the Elephants.
I feel like i'm almost forced to play Spain now. Great Pikes, Sword and Buckler Men, good calvary as well. I don't know why I felt like I needed to post this, I just wondered why no one else has talked about how overpowered Dragoons are.

Re: Spanish Dragoons
They destroy the Elephants becaus the cannons dont hit anything at close range ( sam3e with Reiters ) - used against the Elephants with Arkebusiers though - its a different story ( still Spain has a great roster ).
They have a longer range then Reiters, but then they have much less ammo + the same goes for Moorish Camel musketeers ( safe that they have more ammo )

Re: Spanish Dragoons
They are nice but still Camel Gunners are my favorite mounted gunpowder unit ;-)

Re: Spanish Dragoons
I was very disappointed with the dragoons performance in the Americas. They were not a good counter to the mounted apache muskets and took losses too easily to even archers. They must be much more effective against European armies with heavy armor.
