I am starting to resent my society

I go to school in an American society, I was raised here, and despite the fact that I have lived here ever since I was six months old and have probably had the same experiences as most of the kids my age, I am increasingly disgusted and appalled by their behavior. I always hear of guys fingering girls, girls giving guys blow jobs and so on and so forth. Hell the kids I sit with at lunch, my good friends, always ask me if I'd "tap" any girl that passes by that looks attractive. It gets me so aggravated and annoyed I feel like yelling at them.

It seems to me that morals and ethics are dropping every generation. I don't even want to imagine what my friends kids will be like, I am hoping better than them in terms of morals and ethics, though I am expecting no change.

While sexism is prominent, especially with teens, I dont see anything inherently immoral with those minor sex acts, but objectification of women is a problem.

While sex at that age may not be smart, its not immoral (to me).

Adnin, this is happens in every culture, and actually happens more in other areas, such as Saudi Arabia and so on. We're guys, we think about sex a lot, it's programmed in our brains, our genes.

you must also realize adnin that you (I am guessing here) are far far far more religiously and spiritually minded than many of your friends.

when you get older you will see that the morals and ethics only get worse as people get older unless they strive to live a moral life, and all around you at all times is the base nature of the human animal.

remember they are simply acting like monkeys with brains, all they can think about is screwing, and self gratification, this is natural for any teen; and most people never grow out of this.

but you must , you MUST not let the "amoral" nature of the life around you affect your personal serenity-- this has always been the way of humanity, you cant let it bother you(though at times it will anyway)

True, I don't attach morality to sex. And (assuming your focusing on age and not marital status) it is only a recent invention that teens (~14-19) shouldn't have sex.

It can be immoral, but I dont think you can say someone is immoral just because they are fooling around. They may be in a serious relationship.

for once sephod I agree-- it breeds alot of problems in modern society-- but in the old days people got married right away just so they could fool around(with people other than husband or wife) the taboo on children out of wedlock was just too strong-- nowadays its no taboo at all

Yes, because adults are the only people capable of using their brain. I'm sorry to tell you, but I know hundreds of teens that are MUCH smarter and more mature than Hundreds of Adults I know.

The only time its immoral to have sex, is if your having sex for sex's sake and lie to the other person about it. That, or letting them know that you will be faithful to them, then not doing it. There is nothing special about Monogamy - but don't lie to people about it.

I feel its immoral to get married just to have sex. Marriage is a promise that you will only have sex with that one person, and that you will try to take care of each other. If you have no intention of doing these things - don't get married.
