    Default is it possible?

Is there possible way to make the spear shorter without the need of modelling the unit, coz I can't. The unit spear is too long for spearmen.

You could use the short_pike attribute in the export_descr_unit.txt file.
For example here's the entry for the Spartiate:
    Code:
    ;326
    type hellenistic infantry spartiateshoplitai
    dictionary hellenistic_infantry_spartiateshoplitai ; Spartiates Hoplitai
    category infantry
    class            heavy
    voice_type General_1
    soldier hellenistic_infantry_spartiateshoplitai, 30, 0, 1.22
    officer ebofficer_hellenic_officer
    officer ebofficer_hellenic_standardbearer
    mount_effect elephant -1
    attributes sea_faring, hide_forest
    formation 0.76, 1.2, 1.6, 2.4, 4, square
    stat_health 1, 0
    stat_pri 17, 8, no, 0, 0, melee, simple, piercing, spear, 0 ,0.13
    stat_pri_attr light_spear
    stat_sec 0, 0, no, 0, 0, no, no, no, none, 0 ,0.1
    stat_sec_attr no
    stat_pri_armour 13, 11, 4, metal
    stat_sec_armour 0, 0, flesh
    stat_heat 5
    stat_ground 0, 0, -3, -2
    stat_mental 17, disciplined, highly_trained
    stat_charge_dist 30
    stat_fire_delay 0
    stat_food 60, 300
    stat_cost 1, 3396, 849, 60, 504, 3396
    ownership greek_cities, egypt
On the stat_pri_attr line you could add the attribute short_pike so it looks like this...
    Code:
    stat_pri_attr short_pike, light_spear
Now this unit would fight with shorter spears. You could also just use the short_pike attribute by itself without the light_spear attribute if you were so inclined or use it with other attributes like spear or spear_bonus etc... Just be aware there are bonuses associated with all of the attributes that go on this line.

Why does the short_pike let the units hold their spear in phalanx formation?

Btw Lysander13, is the darthformation for EB still available? I try to download it from filefront, but it says server down.

Yes it's still available. I just checked the download at filefront and it's working fine. However, here's another link if filefront happens to give you trouble for some reason or another......

the short_pike attribute does make the spear shorter, but the spearmen hold the spear like phalanx pikemen in phalanx formation, front 2 rows holding the spear pointing forward, third, forth, fifth row pointing upward with ascending angle. They are like that even only standing. Normal spearmen when standing holds their spear all pointing upward. Or am I just not making things right?
