Serbia was left out from medieval,medieval2,Napoleonic wars,so I am very pleased to hear about this new mod!!!

So, I would probably play Serbia, as they are quite similar to Byzantium, they are Orthodox, and are in a position to build a great empire!

Everyone who wants to create an empire from a simple country can play as Serbia because they are in a very good position of building an empire, but attacking Bizantyum should be the worst start, cause all the other Orthodox christians can fight agaist you. On the other side will be the Ottoman Empire, who will probably profit from this war.
You can try first to gain the naval supremacy agaist Venice or Genoa (or only to aproach to their power), and after this, you can expand also in their islands, not only in their lands.
With a strong position in Italy, you will have much chances of expanding again your empire.
I will play Moldavia or Wallachia first, but after them I will try Bizantyum and the Ottoman Empire.

I think in the later versions you should expand the map to Aleppo, Acre or Jerusalem cause this are some regions who had much links with the turks and christians. If you do this you will also make Cyprus an important point for the empires.

Emirate of Karamanoglu should be very interesting faction to play.
From the 13th century to 1467 the Karamans were the most powerful state in Anatolia. The interesting thing about them is that they had large number of Arabs and Mongols fighting in their ranks. So, in the mod they should be very different than Ottomans when it comes to the units.
Also, they were the first national entity to proclaim Turkish as the national language.
Overall, they should be very nice faction.
Btw, what other Turkish factions are included besides the Ottomans and Karamans??

It will be great to have Timurids arriving on to the scene. Remember the battle of Ankara of July 20, 1402. When Emir Timur defeated everything that stood before him and even went all the way to the Nicea or Iznik.
Some historians say that Timurid soldiers lighted thousands of fires at the Chaldeon which is on the asian side of the Bosforus.
It would have been very interesting if they crossed into the Balkans in 1402 because they could have done it easily.
There was nobody really to stop them.
