    Default Some more italian cities?

    Hail

Since in official 5.1 there are still free places for about 30 cities what about adding two or three of them in Pianura Padana (I mean for example Verona-Scaligeri, Mantova-Gonzaga and Torino-Savoia) and other two or three in central Italy (Repubblica di Pisa, Repubblica di Siena and Ferrara-Estensi).
The vanilla representation of northern Italy with only Milano and Venezia and Toscana with only Firenze (rebel!) is completely unhistorical even in a non Italian-centered perspective; it simply has no sense to choose Milano and Venezia in campaign. And if there are still two factions to assign one should be certainly Repubblica di Genova and the other possibly Repubblica di Pisa.

Generally speaking in my opinion it could be a good choice to eventually sacrifice some minor cities at the southern border of the Sahara for a more accurate representation of Europe and Eastern Mediterranean; what do you think?

    And at last two questions:
Are you planning to enlarge or refine again the map in 6.0 (I mean Corsica, Malta and other islands)?
And there are still repetition units to suppress (archer and crossbowen militia maybe) to add new units?

    Cheers

    Chalupaku's Full-map Mini Mod

This wonderful mini-mod "fills out" the campaign map by taking care of those 30 "blanks" in the province list. Three of them--Pisa, Reggio, Brindisi--are in Italy.

Hope that's what you're looking for, or at least close enough. Enjoy!

Edit: The faction list is already full. Even if it weren't, adding the Republic of Genoa and the Republic of Pisa would make Italy exceptionally crowded. Perhaps someone might make an Italy-based mod (like an Italian version of Broken Crescent, for example) that would incorporate these, but if not, it's probably best to leave them alone. Everybody wants the game to be presented as realistically and historically as possible, but unfortunately given the constraints of the engine, that isn't always possible, and thus sacrifices have to be made.

    Cheers.

Oh itallian tw again. I thought 3 italian factions are more than enough and should be. Game as it is is too much european centralised. This is called medieval TW, not European Mediaval TW.
I am all for adding another Italian city state or two if Victory condition would be changed. I am already bugged by seeing "Empire of Milan" , would be more belivable if there was some kind of union later on betwean Italian states like Kalamar union for danes and norwegians. But engine is lacking, and there are no more free faction slots.

Well, I certainly think that he has a point about adding Genoa, even if it meant swapping it with Milan. The trouble is that the game dosent really cater for the scale necessary for including lots of Italian states. Theres nowhere for them to expand historically. Genoa and Venice are definately the two "must haves" though and they could believably expand overseas as well.

I agree that Genoa should replace Milan as imo it had more of an impact in history as ther were the main rival of Venice. It would be awesome if like the game Crusader Kings and Victoria you could change your name and flag to say the Kingdom of Italy.

Big problem with adding more cities to northern Italy:
all those ZOC's are going to make movement through the area extremely slow and difficult.
Of course that might lead to more creative use of ships?

I see what you mean, that area is all readdy imo one of the most busy places in Europe, but I use this to my advantage as its the best place to find a good princesses for my heirs or a diplomat when needed.

Put a crossbow bolt through him if he excommunicates too many people or starts getting ambitious.
