Not understanding wallace thing

I don't get the whole william wallace thing. Does this mean that only one faction gets some great hero or is there someone similiar for other factions as well? What is the purpose of wallace exactly. i did read through the readme and I just didnt see what it really explained beyond him appearing..but why no other factional heroes?

It makes it more difficult for England to blitz Scotland at least . The trouble is Scotland nearly always takes over Britain if both are AI.

Its because its an imported event from the MTW2:Kingdoms Britannia Campaign and no other factions don't have special heroes.

Well, you could have Saladdin for Egypt, or Osman for Turks (shift to Ottoman empire). Harald Haarfarge for norwegians or (think that was his name).

Well the Turks could get Nur ad-Din because he's already in Kingdoms. Also, it's Harald Hardråde.

Well he could but William Wallace is a normal general in a sense, the other guys like Saladin and Richard are special generals who have special field abilities.

But they never died. The don't have family tree....they always manage to hide somewhere else.
