    Default Suggestions for a newbie

Hi all, I will get BI in the mail within a day or two and I look forward to playing this mod (it's the reason I purchased BI).

I was wondering which faction you would suggest I start out with as a new BI player? I've played RTW a lot but it seems the style of play is different for BI, with religion, hording, and all.

    Thanks!

I guess most developed factions would be Romans and Sassanids. If you want something a bit easy go for ERE or Sassanids or the Huns. If you prefer something more difficult go for WRE or IC (WRR). Each faction has a very different situation and different strengths and weaknesses

Thanks, I've started a campaign as the WRE.

Thats probably a good idea - I learnt allot from a campaign I did about 2 years ago as the WRE - Using the skin pack which eventually turned into this mod.

The WRE is extremely challenging - Concentrate on getting high quality troops before you lose your money and try to destroy factions completely as opposed to making them horde or lose most of their horde - they have a habit of regaining their former strength.

A Haye campaign is also very, very challenging.
The Romans, however, are in my opinion the most difficult. Instead of being stuck between two superpowers, you're plauged by many, many contenders. They were everywhere! Add to that the religion problem (varied religion among family members) and you got yourself quite the uphill battle...er campaign.
