What's going on???????

My annoyance level is through the roof now, every turn I have a general that gains the trait "You Are Not My King", I'm loosing two cities per turn.....
Is this a bug?

Perhaps it`s a conspiracy. No seriously, perhaps that is how it`s supposed to happen, the first character rebels, then if you don`t take care of that character, others rebel and so on, to simulate a conspiracy\treason. At least that`s what i know from DLV how it`s supossed to take effect the `You are not my King` trait.

So how do I "take care" of a family member?

Marriage to a princess?

Being granted a plus-loyalty title?

Bring him to the capital, and maybe he will get the dungeon trait, or send him on a one way boat trip.

Feed him to your armor piercing Squirrel's, they always crave the flesh of... well... lets just say they always get the job done.


But in all seriousness you don't really need us to tell you how to kill your own men do you?


If all else fails you could always try the one man crusade or the one boat attacking a fleet of boats.


Remember its better to declare war on an ally than it is to have your forces start to rebel.

I thought of all these solutions, the problem is it can take dozens of turns to get him from one city to another.

you should be able to assasinate your own men, that would be pretty cool, with failure being further reduced loyalty

Given the times, you *should* be able to summarily execute your men in a trumped-up treason trial, with the exception of the heir, I suppose.

Doing so should really hurt loyalty across the board, though. Men who fear for their lives are less willing to risk them.

This is not vanilla, watch your generals closly. Happened to me yeasterday.Just whn I was supposed to upgrade Castle to Fortress (Oslo). Norwegian cities and castles are so slow growing population. I was set back 30 turns, annoyed as hell. But hey, my own fault, instead sending that general to suicide mission i ignored him. So, fun fun....live and learn.

the closest Ive ever got to a rebellion in like 5 full games was the "Kingmaker" guy but that did little, im thinking maybe its because I have constant low taxes. My fav way to kill those generals I dislike is to send them to an Inquisitor if they have low piety!

i wanted to "clense" my family tree at one point so i sent about 8 generals to my nearest enemys and walked them into the enemy inf and repeatedlly pressed the stop button, that will teach em for i...urm....well forget what >.<

Hi all

ive the same problem....

my best general has your not my king and rebel traits

i have worked out the cheats to get rid if you want me to post em

also the same general stopped moving due to the supply bug but i have figured a way round that too

let me know as its cheating so im not going to post it right away

Nah I'm not a cheater (usually), I just killed my own king and nominated the heir and all is right again.
