Default One hell of a battle!

This was one of the battles i enjoyed most!! And ended in a heroic victory on my part too.
At first i thought i was going to lose when i saw the saracens had lots and i mean lots of dismounted ghulams with a silver chevron and more. Although the enemy outnumbered me, i still got a heroic victory. Partly due to because this was a bridge battle. I peppered them with arrows and rocks as they crossed. Then by the time the first stack crossed, their infantry engaged mine, didn't take long before i move my cav and infantry from the left and right flanks and routed the entire first stack. That wasn't a challenge. Then the difficult part came, the dismounted ghulams and lots of royal mamluks marched towards my position while my cavalry was happily catching routing units from the first stack. Next, i immediately reformed my already disorganised troops and prepared for the next push. Their mamluks proved a challenge, slayed quite some number of my dismounted knights. Then i repeated the same tactic: flanking. However this time, there were 2 stacks attacking my front and so my flanking didn't do much. still, after some time, those stubborn guys (about 1000 odd remaining) broke and ran back the bridge. I then ordered my cav to chase them down. And that was the end of the battle. Haha hadn't enjoyed such a great battle for a long time!!

Yea AI is pretty tactless when it comes to fighting bridge or river battles.

Err... not to burst your bubble.... but playing a bridge battle with an overpowered faction like Kong's Order of the Knights Templar - and with an army of nothing but dismounted order knights and other elites is nothing really spectacular.

In truth, you should've been able to win against 9000 Egyptian troops of whatever quality in that situation, with that faction, and with an elite army like yours.

I enjoy battles I am winning too, I am not sure what that might be but that was cool. I havent had such win over nummerous enemies since Barbarian Invasion. Playing as Hun, having 1700 troops and sending to hell some 6000 of Vandals (open field in my defense). Lucky for Rome, it never got sacked...by Vandals that is. Instead, word vandal is used for poor, frigile and beaten people, Muahahahahahaha!!!

I had a battle playing as Aragon a few weeks ago. I had about 1200 men mostly made up of mercenary saracens and spearmen with 3 groups of dismounted aragonese knights. who were seasoned veterans. I had 3 units of calvary one who was around 25/45 on troops. I held position on top of a hill and had my infantry hold off the line and tactically used my calvary to infiltrate enemy lines and took out light infantry. Then had my calvary take out the generals and catapults. I ended up winning the battle and routed the entire army . The enemy numbered around 3500-4000 and the battle map was an open desert with a few hills and was VH.

lol sorry but nothing special about this battle for a few reason.
    -Bridge battle is way easy
    -Armor Unit
    -Elite veteran dismounted knights

You can take any amount of enemies thrown at you at this battle.
They never even had a chance from the beginning.

I love those battles when at one point you think to yourself "Damn Im gonna lose this"

Then you manage to get some kind of advantage, resulting in a close victory.

Love those because they are a challenge and you end up losing a lot of your forces along the way.

wow look at the elite units... in a defensive stance... on a bridge battle.
i understand you enjoyed it well, but why are you proud of such a lopsided battle?
if you were playing with my BAI, victory wouldnt have been so easily granted.
lost 250 men, what garbage did you use for your BAI>??

    Cmon dude,
It seems you always take things too far. and too serious. What makes you think that he is very proud of this particular battle? He just wanted to share his experience.

And wouldn't it be funny if he said: "Nick, I use your BAI".

it is okay for the inept majority to perceive me in utter disdain. whether it impressed a negative remark towards kev, my connotative implication is still baring present. the BAI he's using is garbage (with all due respect to the modder).

i'm confident my BAI poses no similarity with the given opposite.

The BAI, which is what you deem as garbage, is the one by king kong.
