I mostly play around the campaign idea, and when i need to win ill use the auto_win attacker/defender cheat code in the console.

The problem is I cant us ANY code more than once.

I dont know why

If you're playing a RTW 1.2 based game most commands can only be entered on the console once (add_money for instance) per game launch. With later versions of RTW (1.5 and BI) you can enter the same command over and over again.

Commands such as toggle_fow can be entered numerous times no matter what version of RTW you are using.

So according to you i need to update to 1.5 and use Platinum?

You can patch RTW up to 1.5 and use it to play RTR PE. You can also buy RTW BI and play RTR PE with that version (RTR VII will use RTW BI so it won't be a wasted investment if you do).

The AI can be more aggressive using RTW 1.5 or RTW 1.6 (BI).

I personally prefer RTR 6 Gold over RTR PE, but I appear to be in the minority.

Yes, you can only use console commands once on 6.0 Gold.

Using BI with platinum isn't necessary, but it does offer some improvements.
