Give a hand to King Kong for making the mod and your whole arm to Domenic for fixing the William Wallace bug. Thank you Lusted for making your AI smart enough to the point that I have to fight defensively- a sign that I have to adapt to the enemy. Ok, on to the point.
A/N: I'm the HRE.
By the time that William Wallace had emerged, the Holy Roman Empire had grown to the point that it was often involved in other country's affairs. Such was the case for England, whom had been at war with Scotland for two centuries and neither side had an advantage. Heintz von Pommern, the Holy Roman Empire's general whom had led the campaign of France was sent to England with both courts' permission to defeat the Scots. He arrived in England east of London with sixteen hundred men - the cream of the Empire's army - and five hundred in a supporting army. After easily taking Nottingham from the Scots, von Pommern moved north to York. This is where the battle took place; just southwest of York. William Wallace and his band of barbarians attacked the support army, which was led by Brunno von Pommern; Heintz's son. The battle took place on a hill, where Heintz and William struck blows at each others massive armies. The Scots outnumbered the Germans 8:7 and had split the two armies up putting each one on a different hill. Heintz and his army were encircled and cut down to the last man. Brunno led his support army to try to relieve his father from certain doom, but was killed himself. With the two generals killed, the entire Imperial army's morale cracked and the battle became not a battle but a slaughterhouse. After the battle, the one hundred survivng Germans retreated back to Nottingham and were all massacred when the Scots started moving south once more.
