    Default Help with france strats

Can any one explain how to flank correctly, use Voulgier and generally how to use france's units effectively?

Yep, all of them what I know. France has lots and lots of good knights.

Anyway, with France in the mid-early game you got some nice cavalry and more than decent infantry so you can basically play any kind of game you like. A bit later on you got superb units all around.

Flanking correctly, well thats just putting up your peasants in a line to walk forward to the enemy and when they are engaged you should have your cavalry ready to be behind the enemy or move behind them and charge them from the back. Or charge some cavalry into the enemy and move more cavalry behind the enemy and charge them, and then pull back the first charging ones and move back the ones left and charge the first ones again, and then continue to move back and charge with the other side of cavalry till the enemy is all dead. You can probably do it a million ways. I haven't tryed the volgier yet tough. Im just at turn 75, only using some armoured sergeants and a couple of different knights plus a few archers and so. The most fun with playing with the french is that you basically only need cavalry if the enemy dont have half a stack of well armoured spearmen. Compared to other factions their cavalry are the most easily recruited and strongest. Just put up a long line of the best cavalry, Lancers, Nobles or whatever and charge them at full speed and the victory is yours, maybe after a few charges back and forth. Works at early time to, but cavalry is expensive. A mixture of unit types are often the best if you want to use all your units at the best. Now Im not going to talk more since Im not an expert at strategy or explaining it.
