Another thing that causes this is a home spy in the enemy city, it depends upon the level of both agents subtefuge as to whether he remains unfound , just gets kicked out or executed
Saying that you can of course just put the agent back in, this does work sometimes if you intend to siege and want the gates opened quickly, but you run a big risk of loosing him
The same thing happens to other faction's spies when you get the "Agent found" message.
Exactly right
sometimes during the end of turn you will see agents ejected from your cities or even better afterwards you get the enemy agent executed message
It's always useful to watch closely during the end of turn because if you see an enemy agent enter your city then you can train another agent and with any luck after the next turn the enemy agent gets caught
Spys dont seem like much but they can end up doing alot of dammage if the enemy factions gets a assassin
Spys alone can be useful too, they cause unrest.
In one of my games, I was Sycatia and expanded far into middle east and now I was neighbour with Egyptians but we had an alliance...
I send may spies to egytian cities and made them rebel and attacked them immediately so I can maintain peace with eggies while I expand into their territory...![]()
Also, spies can open gates...
Look here, there is 196% chance of openin gatesAlso, public order is zero...
The proper combination and usage of spies and assasains can be very effective...I destroyed brutti with a bunch of assasains and spies in one of my selecuid campaign..![]()
