We ought to drum up some support for RS in the awards. XGM is getting loads of votes at the moment. I think DVK deserves a huge vote! Are we allowed to vote?

Hey, I got nominated for something! (bug reporter, I did do a lot of that for the Sicilian Vespers...) Anyway, I did nominate Dvk for some stuff.

Personally, I'd be more interested in seeing Roma Surrectum, Tone and AE getting awards. I don't care what I get....Roma Surrectum is enough reward.

And yes, XGM members are voting for XGM, so why not you guys?

Personally, I kinda agree. Before Roma Surrectum came into existance, these boards were deader than a doornail. I know, cause I was all over them. EB hadn't released yet, and MTW2 was just about to hit the stores. All the talk was that RTW was dead, and people even 'discouraged' starting new mods because no one was going to play them anyway.

The old RTR site was also dead....really dead, and they were so happy to see us it wasn't funny, because we brought new interest to their site before it crashed.

And here, all of a sudden the old mods came back to life...XGM, SPQR, TE...with new ideas and new life as other people got involved or reinvolved.
I've been on this forum for several years, and you get a feeling for what's going on. I really think RS took this place by surprise and shot a goodly dose of caffein into it that hasn't worn off yet.

It urks me however, that many of the powers that be, or people who've been here a long time give us so little credit. We have one of...if not THE most active forums here, but people nominate XGM and SPQR and TE and even some of the newcomers.

I think you guys...in general...deserve better than that. RS2 is going to 'sting' people bad. They are going to say..."Oh my GOD! THAT's what RS was developing!!" Previews are one thing, but to actually see a battle army, as I was telling Cherry today, of the Seleucid Empire, or Pontus, or Parhia, Scythia.......it's "like what heck is that!? OMG I have never seen anything like that in MTW2 or anything else ever!"

I know the powerful see what's coming, and I know some of them have been full of praise, but geez people. SPQR for best mod? RS is coded so far beyond SPQR it's like comparing a chipmunk to an elephant!! Nothing really new has been done it, nor in TE. I personally think XGM and Roma Surrectum at the very least should get awards for the most innovative, playable, feature rich and constantly worked on mods on the planet.

So to all of us who have worked on this.................

well most of these people here dont even care about RTW, they just care about thier fanboys and politics on a damn internet forum, thats why i hate it here. you wont see me posting outside of this forum either..

I think tone deserves a nomination for in my opinion, the best skinner. And Baxon for best mapper (if there is such a category) and DVK for being simply amazing and giving us such a sweet mod.

I played 4 modds before Rs.
1. XGM when i didnt have high speed.
2. bare bones wars.
3. lusted modd.
4. EB
5. Now Rs by far!
Better skies, better units, more detail, to other factions as well!
more troops on the field which makes a difference.
outstanding Romans , and Greeks and new Greeks coming ! lol
wild maps, and a group that dont tell their fans NO!! we are not doing that!
but we will take under advisement!
