Weird sea textures

Notice the dark and light blue patches? This was taken during one of my battles beside the dead sea, the sea beside Jerusalem. Anyone else seen this?

Maybe some sort of shadow texture from the mountains? I have never seen this ingame actually, nor would I find it very disturbing.

As can be seen, there ain't no mountains. I don't find it disturbing but weird and would like to know why this is happening.

also theres a straight line, so obviously the mountains or another stuff shadow its complety off of question... maybe just some random texture bug !

Yes it is obviously wrong, but It could still be some kind of misformed shadow texture... It does look like it.

Maybe you can check if this happends again when you restart the game?

That picture was when the battle was fought on the left side on the sea. Just nice, i soon had another battle on the right side with egypt. I scrolled over and saw 2 dark patches with a light patch in between the dark ones.
