Would you date a girl who had a kid?

Especially to the younger guys in their 20's like me (I'm 21), what if you met a girl who you thought was pretty cool (and hot) but then just like that she tells you casually that she has a kid? How do you react? Are you still interested in her? What if you can tell that she's clearly interested in you? What is the most mature way to approach this?

So here's the deal, I started talking with this chick at my job after a week or two of mostly flirty behavior on both of our parts, then when I finally sit down across from her she tells me she has a kid, and I'm like huh ok but in the inside I'm like WTF?!?! She's 22 and her kid is 3, to make this clear this chick is perfectly date-able if she did not have a kid, but I'm wondering if her having a kid changes things and I'm a little unsure on how to approach the situation, because to be honest I'm a little unsure if I would want to take such a plunge like having a relationship with a girl who has a kid. Not sure how it works between me and the kid and everything else I feel like it cold be a little weird. I try not to bring it up or forget that she's a mother, last week we hung out after work and I was so unsure of myself I didn't know how to act, "should I show interest, or should I not" is what kept going through my head. I need advice guys. Hot chick though and interesting personality.

so as you can see women dig a family man, which when you think about it makes perfect sense, they want a man who will provide a good family. nothing will turn this girl on more then you playing with her kid, so i say go for it! if there is an easyer way to turn a women on then being nice to her brat i cant think of it!

what i am trying to say is, the best way to insure success is to take a positive intrest in the child, she will put the needs of her child first so you need to win over the child as much as you do her, if the child likes you, she will like you. if the child doesnt like you, she will not go out with you even if she does like you, kid comes first.

so for now, forget about the kid, just focas on building a steady relationship with her. then later on suggest that all 3 of you go on a date togther, and take the kid to the park, if its a boy it will be really easy for you to bond with him, this kid is only 3, be nice to "it" and "it" will love you, play some football, be mega nice to it, and most importantly be sensitive towards the child, it will be a greater way to show your softer side to her and will be more convinced you are the right man who will make a good father. everyone has an agenda when they date, she is looking for a new man, and a new father. if you dont think you can handle that commitment, back away now.

and if all else fales, dig up her front lawn topless

hang on mate, we dont know how she became a single mother.

she isnt 14, she is 20 and many 20 year olds have kids. this women could well of had a man who she thought would be with him forever and he then dumped her and ran. so it may not be even be her fault, you are being judgemental because she is a single mother, something no women makes by choice i might add. i will be honest she is likly to be that type of person "chav" but still dont judge a book by its cover, we dont even know her yet.

In the US there is no big class barrier between middle class and lower class, there is some between upper class and middle/lower class but even relationships between them is not unheard of. However all of this has more to do with environment than anything else, and is not as much in the concious mind.

I wouldn't be so eager to be the father of a child who's not biologically mine personally. Imagine if you two split up, then she would get the custody (unless she's mentally ill), because she's the biological mother, and you would might have wasted lots of time on the kid then.
