Error Report When I try and Install Medieval 2
I recently uninstalled Medieval 2 because it was crashing whenever I fought battles on the battle map. I thought I could just re-install and that would fix the problem, now I can't install it. About 1-2 minutes after telling it to install, it comes up with an error message, "The following error occurred on the file
'C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\miles\mssdsp.flt'.
Access is Denied
(0x5)
After this it gave me the option to 'Abort', 'Retry', and 'Ignore'. I tryed to just use ignore but then every file after that comes up with the same message. Retry never works also. Anybody else having this problem? Anybody have any suggestions? I have attached the system.log file from before I uninstalled it also, if that helps.

Did you clean your registry before trying to reinstall it? I find it works wonders for the whole system.

Ah, here is another problem. I tryed to delete the Medieval 2 main folder after traditional uninstallation but whenever I try to delete it, it gives this error,
"Cannot delete mssdsp.flt: Access is denied." This is the first file it stated in the installation error also. Suggestions?

Right click on that file, left click on preferences. If the read-only box is checked, uncheck it. This should let you finish deleting the folder. Good luck.

dang it, I right click it and click properties and uncheck the "Read Only" box and click apply. I then click ok, but then it just changes back to read only when I close the properties. WTF?

Okay, one more before getting real dirty. Click start, click run, type regedit, hit enter. Got regedit, right? Okay, click edit, click find, type mssdsp.flt. Now, delete every entry it finds. If not, call back and we'll go the DOS route.
