I do hope that we get a cinematic view while reading to keep the immersion.

Seriously? Does the rest of Europe get it aswell? Why the heck are the UK being shafted... (Just double checked Steam to boot, no EA and no Mass Effect). Can you double check that for me. I'm sure they said that they only released in NA.

So why not the UK? Damn that's annoying.

Edit: Strangely, it doesn't have it's own tab, but I plugged EA into the search engine and found games that are up there. Currently, it's only Crysis, Crysis Warhead, and Sin Episodes (whatever that is). Along with a Warhead trailer and a RA3 demo. No sign of Mass Effect though.

A lot of games have really pathetic voices, which I'd rather kick out than listen to. So if I can choose between reading dialogue and listening to it, I'd choose reading for a save option. But I assume that Bioware is going to pick good voice actors. What I also thought was a problem with the limited text in ME, it wasn't always what you expected. So good voice actors and complete text would be best.

I'm happy about what they did to the dialog in ME.

I don't want to have to read the whole text, then listen to it again. The summaries always gave a pretty good feel for what the entire thing would be.

Kind of disappointed that this won't be fully spoken, but whatever.

There is such thing as using your imagination to fulfill the voice overs. I add a voice to almost everything I read, it's as inspiring as I let it be.

Eh, I'm going to hold my reservations about it for now. I was really excited for it a few years ago, but with ME being a little dissapointing and DA not being PC only I'm pretty skeptical right now. We shall see.

Eh, ten years ago they said there's no new formula in the RTS genre.
More or less it's the same story now.

As long as the dialogue is well written I won't mind if there are no voice.
And I find the dialogue in Bioware games so far to be great so hope Dragon Age will continue this tradition.

Prim-rosed glasses I suppose. I'd still argue that well written, witty dialogue can be equally, if not more, inspiring than generic voiced dialogue.

well you never should fear for bad voice acting with a bioware game, they usually have voice acting that sets an example for pretty much all other games.

It would be great if the game could be fully voiced through patches.

    Fixed.

Bioware has this rare ability not to make bad games, sure some games are better then others (BG II as opposed to Mass Effect or something) but I don't think I've ever seen a bad or sub-par game from Bioware.

In any case, I've been waiting for a good old fashioned medieval fantasy type RPG for a while, so I can't wait to get my hands on DA. I was a little disappointed with NWN 2 from Obsidian, and Oblivion needed too many mods before it became great. Witcher was good, but I really didn't get into it for some reason, same with Gothic 3.

As for the Voiced Dialogue Issue, it depends really. A game with full voiced dialogue is nice, but I realise that the technology isn't there yet to have large amounts of meaningful, deep dialogue that is all voiced.
Also, if the game can drag you in enough with good atmosphere and storytelling, non voiced dialogue is easily as good as voiced. Personally, I read the dialogue first as I listen, voiced dialogue isn't that important to me, it just builds atmosphere.

Not to mention, it simply takes up too much space.
Look at Oblivion, it was 100% voiced and it suffered massively as a result. They did a better job with Fallout, but it still wasn't there yet.
